Places to Visit in New York: DUMBO
Places to Visit in New York: a series! Come one, come all to the greatest city on Earth! Who doesn't love visiting New York? If you're tired of just going to Time Square whenever you come here, then stay tuned because this series is for you.
If you happen to cross the water and find yourself in Brooklyn, then you should make your way to Dumbo. Dumbo is a super trendy, cobblestoned-lined neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. There are tons of shopping, eateries, art galleries, and historic sites to visit.
Near the waterfront, at the intersection of Washington Street and Water Street, you'll find a picturesque view of the Manhattan Bridge. Photographers and selfie-snappers crowd the active (and busy) street to capture their shots. My best advice is to go around noon when the sun is overhead and the street is well-lit.
Then head over to the north end of Brooklyn Bridge Park. There you'll find the historic Jane’s Carousel as well as more picturesque views of the Manhattan skyline. Say hello to the Brooklyn Bridge and get a glimpse of the Freedom Tower, the Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty all from ONE spot!
If you're up for a margarita at the end of the day then head over to Gran Electrica. There you can grab a bite of Mexican fare on their outdoor patio under the Brooklyn Bridge. Hello Summer!
There's so many more things to do in Dumbo. Get out there and explore then comment below where you went and what you did! Happy adventuring!
