Favorite Summer Beauty Products
Summer time calls for iced drinks, open-toed sandals, and light makeup! While my overall skincare routine doesn’t change with the weather, my everyday makeup routine does. I try to keep things light and simple, since I tend to sweat and seem to be more prone to breakouts during the warmer months. My favorite summer beauty products are all current staples in my warm-weather routine!
I’m currently loving Milk Makeup’s Blur Stick as a face primer, as opposed to my stickier winter primers. It reduces shine and fills in my pores perfectly without overpowering my natural glow.
Every summer I switch out my heavy foundation to my all-time favorite tinted moisturizer, Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue! It’s a tinted hydrating gel cream with SPF 30. I always apply with a damp beauty blender, and layer in areas where I need additional coverage. I’m currently in the shade Spice 08.
Everyone loves that summer glow! Recently, I’ve found myself reaching for my Sephora Collection Luminizer To-Go more and more. It’s the perfect cream-to-powder highlighter stick with buildable intensity. I’m loving the color 12 Miss Sunshine, and I’m sure it will continue to be apart of my summer arsenal!
To set my makeup, I’ve switched out my matte finishing spray for Mario Badescu’s Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater! This spray sets my makeup while giving my skin the perfect hydrating boost for the day without encouraging it to get oily.
To remove my makeup and refresh my skin, I’m loving Shea Moisture’s Peace Rose Oil Complex Sensitive Skin Facial Wipes with Date Palm and Camellia Extracts. It removes my makeup without overly irritating my skin and calms any redness I may be experiencing. I reach for these wipes daily, especially before heading to the gym!
My last beauty favorite is NYX Vivid Brights eyeliners! Every summer I STOCK UP on my favorite colors! This year I picked up Vivid Halo (yellow), Vivid Escape (lime green), Vivid Blossom (lilac), Vivid Petal (pink), and Vivid Sapphire (blue). The brushes on these liners are admittedly not the best, but the colors are definitely bright and worth the coin!
