Things To Do in New York this Summer: Gemelli and The Ledge
Summer in New York is unmatched. The festivals, rooftop bars, dance scenes, and bustling energy are all-inviting, and fun as hell. In the spirit of great adventures, I’ve decided to bring back this gem of a series: Things To Do in New York this Summer. Starting with Gemelli and The Ledge!
Gemelli and The Ledge, Dan Cipriani’s nightlife creations, are located in the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn and are on track to be this Summer’s hottest bars. Both bars are located in the same building, but have separate entrances, separate menus, and separate vibes.
Gemelli is absolutely stunning with a large wrap-around bar on the first floor, a rooftop with a second beautiful jade green bar, and an outdoor space fitted with sleek tables and umbrellas to shade the whole crew from the Summer sun. The menu is Italian-based, perfect for pasta lovers like me, and the drinks are perfectly crafted.
Gemelli’s sister bar, The Ledge, is tucked away behind a semi-secret door. It’s pink interior immediately stole my heart! The bar and separate outdoor space is much smaller, so I didn’t get a chance to grab a drink off the menu. However, I was able to grab a bite of fresh prosciutto (and it was amazinggg). The menu at The Ledge is italian-based as well, but focuses on more casual bites (think finger sandwiches).
If you find yourself making your way to Gemelli and The Ledge this summer I definitely recommend trying the Steady Meletti cocktail for a punchy, yet light and fruity taste, the Fire Bird cocktail if you prefer more of a smoky mescal drink, or the Kool Keith cocktail if you’re in the mood for an instagrammable bubbly drink!
